You have to be in the same place at the same time. You have to remain in that place for a certain amount of time. You both have to be single. You have to be in the right emotional place. And after all that, you actually have to like each other. It kind of amazes me that anyone ever gets married, because...wow. Doesn't that just seem highly improbable?
