I think I've become permanently hooked on Mozart and 60's soundtracks, as if that wasn't news. I swear, I drive so much better when I play The Lion in Winter while going to work. I didn't mess up with anything today, not even hitting the wrong turn signal by accident before changing it to the correct one. Ha! I hit the curb today, but I think I said that already.
Work is becoming increasingly hectic-I had thirteen calls waiting on my answering machine (I sound so possessive...it's really the SS hotline answering machine). And we've sold 200 tickets within the last four days, which is rather scary. And I've got a hideous amount of paperwork to file. And I very nearly became hysterical trying to count up all of the SS t-shirts that came in yesterday. My co-workers and I get to wear the radioactive orange ones, while the committe members and volunteers sport the nicer slate blue ones. Hmmm, makes you think :P. Today several volunteers and Amber caught me dancing around the office with twenty blue t-shirts on top of my head and laughed at me. I swear, whenever you're doing anything silly somebody catches you doing it, especially when you're in a small office.
I got the Pink Panther Strikes Again soundtrack, and it's wonderful. Mancini is seriously underrated for his ability to do dramatic and comedic material. And the CD is a Ryko rerelease, so it has bonus tracks and liner notes! It's almost like my original rerelease of the Living Daylights (sounds nonsensical, but it's perfectly possible. Just last year it was rereleased again by Ryko), except that this one's magenta. And it, too, folds up like a map; it's absolutely irritating. I'm still wondering where I could've put my TLD CD case; it had liner notes and pretty photos and a little score analysis, and it's kind of valuable compared to my other soundtracks. But anyway, I'm pretty sure now that I'll use the Inspector Clouseau theme for the return of Mini Moose movie. I'm also reading this great book called The Elephants of Style by Bill Walsh; it's all about how to avoid common mistakes using the English language and various grammar battles over things. 'Tis lovely if you're a word nerd.
I need to reply to Seana's e-mails and call Kerstin and figure out whether or not I'm taking an econ seminar at new castile in August and if I'm tutoring Thea and/or Kerstin in French.
Oh, and for your amusement:
Or:
This officially confirms that there is a conspiracy against me! Baaah!
