can you taste summer
Jul. 12th, 2004 01:21 pmOy vey. I'm starting to act more and more like a stereotypical teenage girl. There is a massive conspiracy against me!
Yesterday I actually bought a nice article of clothing out of my own free will within this state (I'm more amenable to shopping when on vacation). 'Tis a skirt no less. And I went to see Spiderman 2 with Sterling on Saturday. It was a pretty good movie, more intelligent and heartfelt than the average adventure-action film. The thing that annoyed me the most was that someone started screaming every 12 minutes or so. And these were really loud screams, too. The actors, I mean, not the audience.
Afterwards our parents talked and Sterling and I played badminton and talked about school and the last moosenapping video for Mini-Moose's return and other things. And we called up dear Fluffy Eena-chan, but Fluffykins was exhausted from working at the farmer's market and sounded drugged. She tried calling me back later for about three minutes as she was driving down to Catalina with her mum to go to camp there, but the reception was awful and we couldn't hear each other. 'Tis a pity. At the time I was also on the phone with Sophia just because I felt like calling. No wait-she called me first because she was bored. It must hurt like hell after her wrist surgery. I'm still trying to come up with a name for the funny elephant gray foam cube she sticks her arm in so that she doesn't move it around too much. But it was lovely being able to gossip and talk and not feel like a total ditz. I'll be coming over to her house two Fridays from now so that we can walk and talk and have a merrily absurd time.
I'm becoming a procrastinator on my creative writing, sending in assignments three minutes before the deadline. Bwahahahaha. But I refuse to slack off once I'm back in school-that actually counts for something. I hope I can at least retrieve my concentration/willpower.
Musically I'm still stuck back in the 60's, much to the horror of my mini-boss, Christina. I now have proof that she DID take my computer speakers after all, and she had the gall to bring them back into the office because she had to use my computer. And of course she still says nothing about the matter. But then again, I don't either. I try to avoid talking to her as much as possible because she's rather...brisk with me. Eh. The concert's on this Sunday. I've got to call the Cookie Monster to tell her that her sister won't be playing after all. But I'll still offer tickets because nobody else I've asked so far can come. Hmmm. I'll pretend to be dense and not get the hint. Hopefully Liz and Sahara can go.
