dream a little dream of me
Mar. 16th, 2004 09:00 pmWarning: if I recieve a telephone call in between the time period of 7:30 PM on Friday to 1:00 PM on Saturday, the caller will run the risk of the following: beheading, punching, slapping, kicking, strangling, poisoning, stabbing, whacking, hitting, other various forms of (attemted) murder, and/or other forms of agressive behaviour. You have been sufficiently warned.
For a project on the peace and harmony-loving religions/belief systems of Confucianism and Daoism, I'm feeling rather agressive. Becca's coming over during that time period on Friday so we can cobble together a paper and presentation. My brain's been fogged down with a mysterious sort of tiredness that manages to sap the few remenants of intelligence, which is rather bad since I've got a chem test and a math quiz tomorrow and have no wish to flunk either of them. I hope that I don't become too hysterical/violent/stupefied by sleep deprivation this week. My devestatingly efficient mood is starting to wear off quite dramatically. The liklihood of me finishing the piece I'm attempting to write for bell choir this or next week is about as likely as a chain saw preparing breakfast for four.
Thea came over last Saturday after the auction since her parents had to stay extra late to help out with checkout. Checkout was actually quite fun this year since nothing exploded metaphorically as far as I can tell. I started becoming mildly hyperactive near the end since the only thing I had eaten was 1 and 1/14 chocolate chip cookies. I got to audit folders and search for semi-existent folders and bid sheets which was actually quite amusing. Erin's mum is really a lot like Erin, which would seem really obvious but still amuses me nevertheless. Thea and I had green tea and wagashi at home and we talked with my parents until midnight. And then the next morning we watched Princess Mononoke, which I now deem not only bloody brilliant but one of my favorite all-time films. I have a sudden desire to become an animated character and be able to fly and run freakishly fast and explore really cool magical worlds. Being a Sim would be equally acceptable. But I really wish that I could suddenly appear as a character in that movie, or be one of the characters in it. Ack. And I'm starting to fall madly in love with the score, too, especially the symphonic version. The Quebecian anarchist has some competition now.
