I really doubt that Sweitzer would. I think she'd be secretly amused if anything. As for Lynch, he'd probably be very amused. Once we tell them about how incompetent the editor actually is, maybe we can get their support. I'd infinitely prefer to have Caitlin as editor, as she's actually knowledgeable about writing well, knows how to spell the name of the school, and treats people nicely. Don't those count as reasonable qualifications?
