Dude! I finally understood my chem homework! Booyeah!

And now, for The Lion in Winter quotation of the moment which will appear whenever I feel like it.

Prince John: You stink. You're a stinker and you stink.

And you wonder why he was held at swordpoint by a bunch of angry nobles and forced to sign the Magna Carta. And this guy was supposedly very educated for his time. Ha!

I saw the Magna Carta of 1215. It was on loan from Ross Perot to the US Government. Isn't it ironic that an American billionaire owns one of the most priceless treasures of English Common Law?

I saw a copy of it in the Salisbury Cathedral Charter House. There are quite a few copies of it supposedly, so Ross Perot probably owned one of the copies rather than the actual thing.

As far as I know, there are only four copies of the original 1215 one. Ross Perot has one of them. I really doubt the original is still extant. Everything I've ever read about it only talks about copies. Maybe it's being used somewhere as a bib for Prince Charles?

Hmmm, for some reason I thought that there were six copies, but I'm pretty sure I'm wrong. As for the original, it's probably locked up in some royal basement in the middle of Wales.
