sometimes you just can't help but laugh
May. 2nd, 2003 05:56 pmOh gosh...this is hilarious. A friend of mine, Yil, just gave me a poem of his to read. And I have no clue what to say. I mean...well, how about you read it before I say anything. It's about his favorite show, 24:
The Bauers
He lost his wife and she lost her mother
Now all that they have left is each other
She's the love of his life, the apple of his eye
It would destroy Jack Bauer if Kim were to die
2:
While Jack is busy trying to save LA
The sadness and grief are saved for another day
On the surface Jack is coping very well
But his veil of professionalism means we can't really tell
3:
With his vacant eyes and stony stare
We cannot comprehend his feelings of despair
As he works with the woman who robbed him of his wife
Resisting the urge to put an end to her life
4:
An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth
But revenge must wait as Jack plays the sleuth
Piecing together the clues like Hercule Poirot
In a race against time so the city won't blow
5:
Teri's death drove Jack and Kim apart
She worked as a nanny, tried to make a fresh start
But for this magnet of misfortune trouble wasn't far away
As Kim Bauer embarked on another hellish day
6:
She's her father's daughter, she's smart and adroit
Every avenue of escape she will seek to exploit
I'm not worried about her, she will inevitably pass the test
Her latest predicament will show Kim at her assiduous best
7:
Jack and Kimberly Bauer are bound together by love
I'm sure that Teri is happy, looking down from above
Although Jack must be hurting, feeling an empty space inside
He can always look at Kim with optimism and pride
And cherish the sweet flower sprouted from the carnation which died
Oh gosh...it cracks me up so much...I think it's just a bad poem. But what do I say to him? HELP!
