Haha! It reminds me of what a grad school advisor once told me about program locations: "Sometimes it's better to attend someplace in the middle of nowhere because you'll have no choice but to do research, which increases your change of getting published and finding a job within the publishing industrial complex of academia." But if sushi, pad thai and dim sum are readily available, that considerably sweetens the deal :)
