correlation vs. causation

Every time I'm on a student life panel, our student newspaper reports a death or a death-related matter on the front page.

I really hope that this is just a sick coincidence because it's starting to freak me out.

Aside from the recent shootings in Virginia, when has this also happened?

There were developments in Holly Ashcraft 'did she dump her baby in a garbage can to die or was the baby dead already' trial and the hit-and-run with a garbage truck incident. We kept getting a lot of public safety questions from parents especially on those days.
