Yes, I'm getting contact lenses and I keep on telling myself that no, there isn't a point in trying to adjust my now imaginary glasses that aren't on my face anymore. Hard contacts really aren't that bad, once you start getting used to them. This is...my fourth day wearing them. Yesterday it took me about 15 minutes just to get the stupid lens into my left eye. I started getting really annoyed and was just randomly jumping up and down and yelling and stuff. Thankfully the neighbors (of Berlin Wall infamy) had a huge pool party and blasted the old pop music out like mad. And they didn't stop until 7! I managed to finish my essay for the online writing course from JHU and it's being workshopped! Hee hee. It was pretty sloppy, so I was surprised that she picked it at all. Karen thought it was good. I didn't even spend that much time on it anyway. Hee hee.

I think I'm going to change the colors on this soon. They're starting to annoy me. Maybe something like light blue and silver would be nice.

And I just realized how distubring it must seem to have a picture of a gun and rose as my icon-thingy. I better switch it back to the other one.

I should be working on my essay on the definition of geeks. I have no clue why I bothered to pick that subject, only now I'm stuck with it. Ick. I got the intro paragraph done, and it's not very good. But whatever.

I swam earlier this morning, and afterwards I felt like weighing myself and I lost three pounds after a half hour. Freaky. A half hour with Luba is really punishing, though. I think I kind of gave myself a headache from bumping into the lane line. I always seem to do something like that whenever I swim backstroke. It's very annoying. I've whacked my wrist into the wall at the end several times just when I thought that I was safe. Ha. And of course all of the seniors who swim at the community pool are surrounding all of the ends and making me nervous as all hell. It's creepy when you reach the end of the pool and you look up and you see a pretty tall 60 year old guy staring at you in his Speedo. More like frightening, actually.

Been playing a freakish amount of Spider Solitaire today, probably for playing lots of Sims yesterday. Hee hee. It's way too addictive. Hopefully I am un-addicted by the time school starts.

Slugheads! (inspired by a certain computer hacker character ^_^)

(referring to the tech department)

I don't think I'll ever stop scorning them. Thankfully they're getting rid of Quinton, the tall jerk one. But Lanzot's also going, which makes me sad. I actually like Lanzot, and Taffee (is that how you spell his name).

I wonder if they'll ever find out. I'll be very amused if they do, as it'll probably be discovered once I graduate. After I leave them a note, maybe. Or maybe they'll be smart enough to figure it out by then. Hahahaha. Galindo's the only one around...

I'm going to Muffy's wedding tomorrow. It's the first wedding I've ever gone to before. Awww, how sweet. Muffy is my wonderful next-door neighbor who used to babysit me when I was really little. I remember that she was really horrified when I fell into her pool once chasing a leaf on the water. I wasn't scared, though I didn't know how to swim. Funny how I remember that.

Ick. I think I will scream if I see another SAT II French book that I'm supposed to look at. Isn't the online writing course enough?

I finished reading all of my summer reading books. Yay! Lord of the Flies and 1984 were good, but Member of the Wedding sucks. Ick. No plot, pretends to be deep but isn't really, doesn't make sense, and everyone seems to be crazy. Joy.
