Washing the dishes can be incredibly theraputic. Really. Except that it can make you really mad. Yesterday I had shared some tomato bisque soup with Dad, and when I was washing the dishes afterwards I spent 10 solid minutes trying to scrub all of the residue off this flat white spoon that was used to stir it. And none of it would come off! I started scrubbing so hard that the soap suds started flying up like it was some kind of fountain filled with dishwashing liquid and it still wouldn't come off. Not a speck of it! I started getting really peeved and started whacking the spoon against the sides of the sink. Somehow it felt nice to be making a lot of noise, and I really didn't care if anyone noticed. No one actually did, of course. Afterwards I told dad never to make tomato bisque with white spoons ever again, or else I'd throw the spoon out the window.

Not that that could actually happen, because the kitchen windows have screens on them if they open at all. Pity. I could always throw it off the balcony instead.

Lots of housework yesterday and today. I originally intended to shower at 11 AM, and ended up having to take one at 8 PM. I had to help clean out the linen closet, which really is quite dangerous. Whenever I open it up something falls on me, ranging from sleeping bags to a stack of sheets to the sewing kit-on my foot, of course. For the first time ever I can see the back of the closet and the carpeted floor. It's kind of cool, even if it did take 4 hours to get rid of unneeded stuff. Mom and I drove out to the nearest goodwill trailer and dropped off 17 bags of who knows what and an old suitcase. Later I've got to drag out 4 garbage bags worth of stuff from the closet. Oh yeah, Mom and I also spread out 4 bags of tanbark. It took about an hour, and we need 2-3 bags more to cover the other spots. Hopefully it won't be during theh school year.

I need to start on my second to last essay due at 9 PM today. It's 4:13 now according to the computer clock, so I better start it. Later.
