I just discovered this morning that I stick out my pinky when I drink tea.
I shall now blame my early days in Hong Kong having afternoon tea at the Peninsula with my mother around so many upper-crust ex-pat Brits as the cause.
Damn, I really want scones and clotted cream now.

Is that the kind that can double as a sled?
Oh, and I remember hearing somewhere that the pinky thing is a sign of aristocracy.

I always thought that the pinky thing was mostly just some sort of pretentious upper-class English thing, but the aristocracy bit does make sense.

Date: 2005-09-11 05:19 am (UTC)I'm not completely sure if I am really where I think I am, as far as this LJ's ownership is concerned. All points to it, though.
I was looking for someone by the name, which led me to your "alter ego LJ", which, in turn, led me here.
And the more I read - the more I think I'm there, meaning - here, or ..well, that is, where I intended to arrive.
Yes, I believe we have met once, and might have talked a couple of times.
I'm new to the LJ world, still learning. But, if I understand correctly, my e-mail address has to be visible to you now. Please drop me a line so I could properly (re)introduce myself.
