Legally insane? Me?

Pah, you must be kidding! I've never been legally insane before.

But I must admit, there is something rather disturbing about feeling freakishly functional/hyperactive considering that I'm not really sure when I went to bed last night. I'll probably regret this later when I discover that I just killed off a few hundred neurons, but I will enjoy my semi-calm, semi-WHEEE! state.

And I swear, I haven't touched any soma or other sketchy chemical agents lately.

I would like to be legally insane for a day just to see what it's like. What would I do if I were unable to comprehend the consequences of my actions? Something tells me there's a good bar story in that.

It's not much fun, from what I can vaguely remember. The hallucinations really start to get to you after awhile, and you start feeling like you're floating around in a perfectly transparent bubble with your limbs trying to sink into the air. Sounds feel heavy, and you just feel like you want to walk into a crypt and get some rest for the next few centuries.

Well, that's what my experience felt like at any rate.

It sounds like massive sleep deprivation. How much rest have you been getting each night?

One is legally insane if one hasn't slept for 48 hours or more straight. Last winter after Cathy died I was in my crazy hallucinatory mode, so there you go. As far as I can remember, I was only legally insane at most twice.

But 5.25 hours on a regular basis (same time period as mentioned above) for a consistent time frame doesn't give you those effects to such an extreme.

I'm not sure exactly when I go to bed, so I can't really tell you. It's about six on average, I think.

One of these days I am going to gather a squad of mobile hammer-weilding sleep aids. We shall roam the countryside picking up women and helping out wherever there lies a need. In your case, though, have you tried Nyquil?

Hey, that doesn't sound too bad. You can pick up the women, dearie; I'll go after the mecs unless your gay alter ego comes out (pun intended, however lame it is) :P

Nah, never had Nyquil in my life. I don't believe in sleep aids other than ear plugs because I generally don't believe in getting weird chemicals into my body unless necessary.
