good omens
Mar. 25th, 2007 10:36 pmNext time I present at an academic conference, I'm picking a more cheerful topic than suicide, self-assertion and terror management theory. Then again, it would be nice if the conference topic didn't center around the vague theme of 'this mortal coil.'
Come to think of it, if one's taste in literature is reflective of one's personality, then my penchant for reading about murder/crime, espionage and insanity is rather worrisome. Then again, the fact that these genres are so popular indicates that if I am a homicidal paranoid lunatic, there are a fair number of others out there who share the same tendencies to some degree.
So yes, that's my rationalization as to why I'd like to think that I'm not that dark and twisty inside :P
