I think that it is entirely possible to have random cravings for watching movies or reading books or listening to a certain piece of music as it is to crave a certain food.

So in that spirit, I am seriously tempted to run around Cambridge at 1 in the morning until I find a DVD copy of Goodbye, Lenin! And as my brain is a terribly transparent vessel, I shall say no more about that.

Now my reasons would be fun to explain to my floor proctor...

I have been in a cheerfully subversive mood all day; this is the time in which I suddenly denounce those damned socialists who keep on passing me their economic propaganda around Harvard Square as I head out into Cambridge. My occasional attempts at subversion either are very successful or totally backfire. I guess I'm just tired of being so self-contained at home all the time. My parents are currently in Cambridge visiting friends and places before we go up to New York for my cousin Jason's wedding this Friday, so my nocturnal wanderings are limited somewhat in terms of my ability to explain away and soothe tempers.

[livejournal.com profile] clarequilty, I've found a treasure trove of Stanley Kubrick film posters (Dr. Strangelove, A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Oddessey) so if you don't have them already I could send them to you. I just spotted a really lovely rare one that I shall snap up first thing in the morning if I'm still feeling this cheeky.

1 AM is starting to feel still early in the night to be awake. Perhaps if I finally manage to continue reading my behaviorism textbook, I'll snap out of my bad habits?
