a bizarre sort of apostrophe
Apr. 27th, 2005 09:45 pmOh fate, what do you have against the Electric Penguins trying to find time to rehearse as a group?
First you schedule the FIRST Robotics competition and a volleyball tournament on the day that we were going to decide on what pieces we were going to play at the concert. And musical rehearsal overlaps with our after school practice. Then we just have to have a special long class meeting last Friday during one of our few lunchtime practices. Then Founder's Day just had to be on one of the few Fridays we can rehearse as an entire group. And then many of the juniors (*coughs* me */coughts*) can't make most of the practices next week because many of us have AP exams to take during the lunch and after school practice times.
And our concert is on May 18! We've only got 7-8 more practices at best, and our conductor can only show up so often!
And on top of all of this, I have to take the first half of a calculus placement exam twenty minutes before my first AP exam on Monday. I am positively overwhelmed with joy.
In the meantime I'm supposed to lay out and edit a weekly newspaper and study for 3 AP exams. And amidst all of my chaos, you make seven different people I know go on jury duty within the last three months.
Life is kind of strange right now.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy quotation of the day: "Life is like a grapefruit. It's orange and squishy, and has a few pips in it, and some folks have half a one for breakfast."
I have to wait an extra week to see the HGTTG movie, until after AP exams. Grrrr...
