"It's a weapon of mass distraction!"
Nov. 30th, 2004 09:32 pmErp. BioH quest tomorrow, and I have just started studying. Thankfully a lot of this stuff is pretty basic, but some of the more complex bits involving probability and point number five is a bit confusing. But yay for Pundett squares! I just figured out this morning how to use them for dihybrid crosses.
Rachel and I want to start arranging some new pieces for bell choir after the winter season because we can't continue to do "Surprise Symphony" and "Morning" forever. She said that she came up with an arrangement some time ago but hasn't written it down yet. I'd really like to do my "Charade" but we don't have enough people to include a harmony line, and the harmony gets weird in a few places because it's in a minor key. Rachel and I really want to do some Simon and Garfunkel, especially "Scarborough Fair/Canticle" since the melody line is easy to pick out, it sounds pretty, and the harmony there is ridiculously simple and probably wouldn't require many bells. Kerstin and Kersten (two different people; I can spell their names correctly) were joking about having some kind of major fundraising effort for the Electric Penguin Anarchists, the unofficial name of our bell choir. If we do bother to raise money then possibly we can get some software that would make sheet music writing really easy, and Rachel and I would really like that since we're probably the only ones who would bother to arrange stuff. If I have time I might also do "Sound of Silence" for bells. Pity that at the moment I really don't have the time to do all of that this week because of a number of pressing assignments.
Rumor is that I am going to get my Ethnic Voices paper done by Friday, period two. And I have a concert with bell choir tomorrow. Thankfully I have two free periods on Thursday and Friday, and one on each day is a long one. Why oh why must I continue to procrastinate in this awful manner?
My English class is actually back to normal, and people are not actually arguing furiously with each other. I've forgotten what it's like. However, JF has been pretty much lecturing the entire time both classes, but he's a lot less defensive with us now. We're getting back to more familiar ground, stuff we covered in I&S and whatnot, so the students are a lot more comfortable.
