It's sort of sad how people have to occasionally remind me to eat. Usually right before lunch I'm thinking, "Yay, lunch!" and now it's more like "Oh, it's lunch. I guess I should eat so I don't get hungry later. Maybe I can get some homework done as well." But once I'm home I start craving cafeteria food. It's been tasting rather good lately.

Today we had more soup, rice, tofu, green beans, and beef. I swear we've eaten this at least 35 times within the period Fun-fun has been with us. I was trying to force myself to eat but after awhile I couldn't look at my food without feeling really disgusted. So then I tried talking to my parents for awhile, but they were busy eating. So I spent a good amount of time staring at the Swiffer mop in the laundry room. The soup really scared me, because it tasted like someone had accidentally dumped in 1/4 of the salt container (and that's a lot!) and mixed in a lot of mysterious substances labelled "edible." So after awhile I started staring at my soup. It was vaguely amusing just trying to guess what might be in it. It's dark brown and rather murky, making it even more difficult to identify the ingredients. It tasted too salty for me to tell exactly what was in it anyway. Actually, that might be better if I didn't know what it was. I've managed to seriously disgust people by vividly describing food that I like; I nearly made a writing instructor of mine throw up once. Mwahahaha.

Dude. Kanako-chan's moved back to Japan! She's lived in Brazil for 9 years and 4 months now. I don't think I could imagine moving away from your home country and then returning just when you learned Spanish, got used to being an ethnic minority, and could ride horses pretty damned well. That's almost as strange as me moving to Idaho, which is more strange than me moving to Texas.
