islanded in a stream of stars

When I was in Cambridge this past summer (at Harvard, generally regarded by the rest of America as the educational bastion of WASPiness) I was pleasantly surprised by the cultural diversity of the area. Certainly there are some neighborhoods that are claimed by the Boston Brahmins, but the Indian and Middle Eastern areas I visited were quite lively, and Chinatown is an experiene unto itself :)
