I definitely understand what you mean about smoking, though thankfully in California this doesn't seem to be too much of an issue. I don't know what the stats for youth smoking are nowadays, but I personally don't know anyone who smokes cigarettes (other substances are another story). If anything, I've heard quite a few complaints about anti-smoking zealots who refuse to give smokers any space where they can light up. I wonder if this is more of a regional phenomenon?
