Ah, I know what you mean. I've lately been seeking refuge in an obscure part of the computer lab where no one ever goes and in a basement office for which I have the key. This basement office is virtually soundproof in that you can scream as loud as you like without anyone in the nearby student lounge (i.e. an area with a few tables, chairs, and two computers where people theoretically work). I find it very theraputic.
